Terzo di Danciano is located in the Tuscan countryside away from highways and city noise. While remote, it is not hard to get too.
We suggest flying into Rome or Florence at least one day before the retreat to acclimate to the time change and see a little more of Italy. From either of these cities, take the train to Terontola/Cortona station. Train tickets should be bought in advance.
Before your arrival, contact our hosts to arrange for pick up at the train station. Coordinate your arrival with others on the trip to save a few euros! Heather and I will share our travel itineraries for those who wish to travel with us but we are not able to coordinate group airfare or secure train tickets for you.

What if I don't have a regular yoga practice?
Heather and I specialize in working with all levels of yoga practitioners including those who are rusty or brand new to the practice.
Should I rent a car?
A week on retreat goes by very quickly and we have many activities and two excursions built into our time in Italy. If you would like to create excursions on your own, you will be responsible for securing a taxi/car as this is outside of the package we are offering. Upon arrival we can offer a list of drivers who are familiar with Terzo. Car rental is available in Rome or Florence. You will need an international drivers license. https://www.usa.gov/international-drivers-license
This should be arranged in advance. Please let us know if you are choosing to rent a car.
I have food allergies, intolerances or I am vegetarian or vegan. Will the chef be able to accommodate my needs?
Absolutely! The kitchen staff at Terzo di Danciano is one of the most creative and accommodating teams you will come across. Just make sure you share your food preferences with me or Heather when you sign up.
What is the weather like in Tuscany in September?
The weather is similar to that of the North Carolina foothills. Brilliant sunshine, warm temperatures, dramatic clouds, cooler temperatures and rain are all possible. Just check your weather app for Cortona and you'll be fine!
How about modern conveniences like AC?
The rooms at Terzo all have heat and air conditioning and windows that open for fresh air. There are hair dryers, shampoo, fresh towels, spa robes and room cleaning daily.
The old adage says: "Pack fewer things, bring more money"
But we do have a few suggestions:

Yoga clothes
Walking shoes
Flip flops or similar
Rain jacket
Sweater
Maybe one nice outfit for a special night. (like yoga clothes with a dress or jacket on top :-)
Bathing suit
Sunscreen
Bug repellant
